From the outside, the headquarters of Eurolub in Eching near Munich, with its metal facade, appears like a typical industrial building. However, stepping inside the administrative building of this globally active lubricant company reveals an unexpectedly refined world. The once modest and functionally oriented interior has been transformed entirely: the layout and interior spaces were redesigned in meticulous detail. The new layout includes a café with a library and a spacious conference room on the ground floor, while the first floor houses office spaces and a micro-apartment. The entire interior is defined by dark, earthy tones and high-quality, natural materials. Movable wooden shutters on all windows offer adaptable privacy and sun protection. Wood paneling enhances every area; the micro-apartment, discreetly tucked behind a paneled wall in the executive office, has been finished as a wooden cube with a skylight. Softened and soaped oak on walls, ceilings, and floors gives both levels a serene atmosphere, complemented by refined materials like stainless steel and cast asphalt. To maintain a cohesive aesthetic, media technology has been seamlessly integrated into built-in units, allowing spaces like the café to transform easily into a presentation room. A bar counter in brushed stainless steel with swirl finish, illuminated by Davide Groppi's sculptural "Simbiosi" light, makes a bold statement. The same material appears on the stair railing of the spacious staircase, accompanied by custom pendant lights from Studio OHA. A monochromatic restroom on the ground floor and a few select lemon-yellow furnishings introduce subtle, intentional color accents. The Föppl Collection by Holzrausch, including benches, bar stools, and side tables used in the café and on the terrace, blends harmoniously into the overall interior design.
