Haus am See
Designed by Munich architect Stephan Maria Lang, this house for a family is situated on a hillside lot overlooking Lake Starnberg. The continuous paneling of the walls in the interior references American mid-century architecture and is thus reminiscent of classic case-study houses. Primarily maple and stainless steel were used. The kitchen block merges into a library, behind which a staircase leads to the basement. The outdoor terrace with a fireplace and an ensemble of teak wood offers a wide view over the lake.
