In this classical historic building in Munich's city center, a sliding door separates this library from the rest of the living area. The room originally belonged to the neighboring apartment and after breaking through the walls it was intended to serve as an ascetic retreat. In order to create a haven of peace, the material language was deliberately reduced. Light-colored Douglas fir is used not only for the floor and walls but also for the illuminated bookshelves and the desk.
