Infectopharm's headquarters is located in the industrial area of Heppenheim an der Bergstraße (Central Germany). A versatile multi-space was created for the family-run and globally active pharmaceutical company including a canteen and meeting rooms, which can be used for co-working and events too. A floor-to-ceiling grid structure made of spruce cross-laminated timber is the centerpiece of the twelve-meter-high former high-bay warehouse. This striking structure contrasts against the dark background, subtly referencing the building's previous function. Integrated into this grid is lighting, ventilation systems and a staircase leading to a gallery on the first floor, where meeting rooms are situated. From the dining areas on the first floor, a few steps lead to a separee with alcoves, ideal for private conversations or focused work. A flock of white paper doves by artist Michael Pendry adds a poetic focal point above the bar. High-quality materials such as terrazzo, charred oak or leather, combined with a palette of light and dark tones and a few accent colors, make Infectopharm's multispace the new focal point of the company. Natural light floods the space through glass fronts overlooking an inner courtyard, which has also been redesigned. Adjacent to this area an additional room for lectures was designed in the neighboring building. Equipped with sliding doors for adaptable layouts, this space accommodates events and fitness activities. Warm oak paneling and sliding doors imbue the room with a welcoming character, while a panoramic window offers views of the multispace opposite.
