The new villa on a hillside presents itself with modern, understated elegance. Holzrausch worked closely with architects Kleinert und Partner and the client on the interior design. The material and color concept responds to the façade and the exterior space, incorporating elements such as natural stone and light earth tones. Open-pored lime plaster, high-quality terrazzo tile flooring, and precisely grouted panels made of steamed oak, along with Wachenzell dolomite used on the fireplace and kitchen, create a natural ambiance. The wooden fixtures seamlessly blend with the architecture, accommodating functions such as the internal staircase or the elevator. The first floor is bright and inviting: In the light-filled living room with dining area and open kitchen, the oak wood wall forms a calm counterpoint to the strip of windows with a view of the garden.
Holzrausch had Studio OHA design the lights above the dining table specifically for this project. The backstage kitchen in vibrant lemon yellow, hidden behind a turquoise-green linoleum clad cube in in the entrance area, adds a splash of color. The gallery leads to the private on the upper floor, which includes a bedroom, bathroom, and a guest area. Existing furniture, memorabilia, and paintings have been thoughtfully integrated into the interior design. This careful integration merges classic elements with contemporary aesthetics, creating a harmonious overall look.
